After the tumultuous year that was 2024, which had more plot twists and surprises in it than a wild spy novel, I start 2025 feeling a combination of psychological exhaustion, a sort of dry bewilderment at what has transpired, and almost vacant contemplation for what 2025 has in store for us all. I suspect many feel the same after a bizarre year full of war, political shocks, and some outright absurdity. (But read till the end as there are some positives)
The human condition is complex and perplexing and never ceases to confound, strike with awe, or discombobulate in equal measure. Things have gotten deeply weird in the world. On a personal level, 2024 was filled to the brim with adventures, publishing my first Astrology book and teaching my first Neo-Vedic Astrology class to my students in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It was such a great experience, and I'm grateful to all who were able to join me there (you know who you are). The book The Candid Guide to Neo-Vedic Astrology became a best seller on Amazon in the category of Happiness, and thank you to all who have bought the book. Its success is much appreciated, and I must remember this personal highlight of 2024. I have some nice updates for you, dear reader, later in this blog.
The travels I made in 2024 all added up to 1.5 times around the world, which is outrageous, including YouTube videos live from the mid-Pacific, but I cannot do that again. I have the travel bug, but my New Year's resolution is to travel less and less far. The education and experiences were worth it, but they were also tiring.
The planet to watch out for is Uranus, who caused political bedlam with two assassination attempts on Duck L'orange (Trump for new readers), Joe Biden dropping out of the Presidential race, the Kamala surge, and a political result in Trump's favour that feels like unfinished business for many. War has been dished out like slop at the gulags for a lot of places in the world, which has also added to everyone's fatigue, on top of the worrying political lurches to the right in many countries, with France with only a fig leaf away from succumbing to the trend it seems. UK politics was quite ridiculous itself.
The deranged Tories blundered through the election and found themselves on the chopping block and viciously mutilated by the British electorate, who handed them their worst defeat in hundreds of years, only for the new Labour Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, to become the UK's most unpopular Prime Minister in all of the UK's history in a matter of weeks and months. Pluto, as I've frequently said, is doing his demolition job in Sidereal Capricorn, and thus, in this sign of corporations, CEOs, and Governments, we see a parade of Oligarchy shamelessly cavorting with politicians and buying influence like a spending spree in some out-of-town shopping mall.
In times like these, simple pleasures gain gravitas; a good meal with friends, a good movie, and a good night's sleep have become nuggets of gold in these strange times.
So, what of 2025? More drama, one suspects, especially as the Presidential Inauguration Day, on January 20th, looms large like an iceberg, with many feeling they're strapped to the hull of the Titanic. The sense of bewilderment is palpable, yet here we are. Uranus will continue to shock us as he has returned to sidereal Aries and will be there until spring 2025. He will return and stay in sidereal Taurus for seven years, totally transforming global finance and asset classes of all kinds. We are hurtling towards the future at a great pace, especially with digital currencies. Still, I also see collective farming, where groups of people come together to nurture each other, and I also see Gaia coming, and that gives me a little optimism in these testing times.
Saturn, as usual, is the dark horse. He will arrive quietly into sidereal Pisces on March 29th 2025, which many regular viewers of my channel will know I'm calling the 'great awakening'. Saturn, the planet of reality, will enter the realm of illusions when in Pisces, so expect some reality checks on my levels personally and in the collective... I think the recent 'MAGA War' over the holidays is already showing Saturn's influence as he continues to go direct where few have woken from their idol worship long enough to realise that Elon Musk doesn't like 'the base' very much - I doubt any of their exploiters do, yet they still cling; for now.
Satrun's progression into Pisces will only make it more apparent where individuals and the collective have been avoiding reality, and Saturn will likely bring many fantasies to an end as is his way. However, when used in the positive, this could be where 'structure' and discipline are added to dreamy Pisces and its co-lord Neptune, and many could see their dreams come true in 2025, too. So it's not all bad.
In 2025, Jupiter will also change signs in May 2025 and will enter sidereal Gemini, and things will REALLY speed up then as the planet of economic expansion enters one of the natural signs of business, media, and communications.
However, for immediate impacts, I must mention Uranus again as he could well have yet another plot twist waiting for us in the coming days and weeks as he will be squaring the exact opposition between Mars (in Sidereal Cancer) and Pluto (in Sidereal Capricorn) on and around January 3rd, 2025, technically tomorrow at the time that I'm writing this which is a day that political figures get sworn in. Election certification is scheduled to happen on January 6th 2025, only days later: what a powder keg. Uranus always has the ability to give us the opposite of what we expect, so let's see what he brings.

No doubt, 2025 will be one to remember, but it's also worth saying that with change, there come opportunities. Uranus and Pluto between them will be making us all want to go in a different direction to the old ideas that have lost their use, humanity wants to turn a new leaf. This will be a year where 'people power' will start to express itself in louder and in more adventurous ways. There will be surprises buit also opportunity for change.
